Who Are We?Hersh2-4a

"We" are volunteers interested in helping to feed the hungry while working in the great outdoors with our hands on land donated by the owners. Typical volunteers are retirees, members of church or civic groups, student groups, various youth groups, or individuals who want a refreshing break from the routine.

Our Purpose: To provide fresh, nutritious vegetables for 47 Dane County food pantries.

Each year we raise approximately 100,000 lbs of produce on five 1-acre gardens.  Obviously, this requires many volunteers.  In fact, we need 15 volunteer hours per garden each week to plant, weed and harvest.  Each volunteer hour results in 50 lbs of fresh produce for our less fortunate brethren.  Can you help?
